Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College Athletic Department is set to open their new stadium field, equipped with turf and a state-of-the-art track, for the 2008-2009 seasons. 

The field is well underway and schedules are set for Men's and Women's Soccer, Field Hockey, Women's Lacrosse, and Men's and Women's Track and Field.

The track that surrounds the playing surface is an 8-lane all-weather track.  There are dual long jump and triple jump runways as well as an area for the pole vault event.  The track area also consists of a steeplechase water pit, a shot put circle, and two high jump competition areas.

A new area for discus, hammer, and javelin throws will be located across route 202 at North Field.  An all-weather track javelin runway will be installed.

The playing field is comprised of a Field Turf surface.  Straight from Field Turf, their concept is: "Looks Like Grass… Feels Like Grass…Plays Like Grass".  The soccer field stretches 75 yards wide by 120 yards long.
