ROADRUNNERS FALL TO DUCKS, 7-2

Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women’s tennis team fell to the Ducks of Stevens Institute of Technology today at the Athletic Center, 7-2. The Roadrunners fall to 7-5 while the Ducks improve to 11-2.
Rookie
Alexandria Potosnak (Vernon, NJ) picked up her tenth win of the season when she defeated Mine Bese (Secaucus, NJ), 6-1 and 7-5 at third singles. She now stands at 10-2 on the year.
Sophomore’s
Jywel Almirante (Newton, NJ) and
Nicole Pitts (Pompton Lakes, NJ) teamed up at third doubles to pick up Ramapo’s second point of the day. The pair defeated junior Kendra Appleheimer (Brick, NJ) and Natalie Schloeder (Jackson, NJ) by a score of 8-2.
The Roadrunners will take on Saint Thomas Aquinas College on October 23rd at 2:30 PM while the Ducks will compete in the Empire 8 Championships on October 24th and 25th.
