Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's soccer team, along with volunteers from the community, hosted the Street Soccer NYC Team this past Sunday, November 15th, at the College campus located in Mahwah, NJ.
The Roadrunner team hosted a community service project for the homeless players of Street Soccer, which included a friendly soccer match, followed by a dinner catered by the friends and families of the Ramapo College soccer program and the Mahwah community.
Local youth club soccer players from the Mahwah Raiders and their parents attended the event, donating their time, along with much needed clothing and blankets for the NYC organization.
The Ramapo program made a commitment to volunteering, and looks to make this special event, an annual event.
SSUSA is a national league of street soccer teams, which grows the game in urban areas while helping the homeless and impoverished move off the street and back into education and jobs. SSUSA puts focus on a positive and active life style.
