Springfield, MA: The Ramapo College men's outdoor track and field team competed at the 2009 ECAC Championships hosted by Springfield College. The Roadrunners tallied 19 points for a 14th place finish.
Rookie
Craig Van Leeuwen (Little Falls, NJ) cleared 4.97-meters (16'3.5") en route to a first place finish in the pole vault. The mark was also a new meet record. Van Leeuwen is also ranked third in the NCAA.
Sophomore
Evan Shaker (Clifton, NJ) placed 12th overall in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.93. Sophomore
Dan Carpenter (Hackettstown, NJ) took home a 15th place finish in the javelin with a mark of 49.65 meters (162'11").
Rookie
Isaaic Patterson (Paterson, NJ) finished in 7th place in the long jump with a mark of 6.75-meters (22'1.75"). He also captured a 7th place finish in the triple jump in 13.50-meters (44'3.50").
Sophomore
Brendan Gareffa (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) finished in 4th place in the discus with a throw of 45.67-meters (149'-10").

Kyle Price (Milltown, NJ) and rookie
Chris Cagiao (Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) finish in 9th place with a season best time of 3:20.21.
The Roadrunners finished ahead of NJAC rivals, New Jesey City University, Kean, TCNJ and Stockton.
The Roadrunners will compete at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held in Marietta, OH on May 21st-23rd, 2009.
