Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's field hockey team was picked to finish seventh in the 2010 NJAC Women's Field Hockey Preseason Coaches Poll released today by commissioner Terry Small of the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
Ramapo College, which posted a 6-11 overall record in 2009, was selected to place seventh. The Roadrunners have produced a 13-22 overall record under third-year head coach Concetta Valiero and look to improve on last year's record. Jayne Manigrasso (Atlantic Highlands, NJ).
Manigrasso led the team with 18 goals, two game winners, and added five assists for a team leading 41 points, while sophomore
Victoria Ahlers (Freehold, NJ) tallied eight goals, two game winners, and two assists for 18 points.
The Roadrunners open the season on September 1st at home against Wilkes University at 4:00 PM on the turf field.
