Mahwah, NJ: The Caldwell College athletic department announced the hiring of former Ramapo College cross country and track and field standout, Patrick Sullivan as their new cross country head coach. Roadrunner head coach Mike Jackson and the Ramapo athletic family would like to congratulate Pat in his new position.
Sullivan graduated from Ramapo this past May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Law and Society. He is the director of marketing and advertising at Delta/Marcliff Insurance Agency in Little Falls, N.J., and currently resides in Hamburg, N.J., with his wife Shannon.
He begins his first season as the Cougars' head cross country coach. Sullivan comes to Caldwell after a successful running career at Ramapo College, where he helped his team break school records in the 4x800-meter relay and the distance medley relay. A middle distance runner for the Roadrunners, Sullivan placed sixth in the 800 meters at the 2008 NJAC Track and Field Championships and was a member of the distance medley relay team that took fourth in the NJAC in 2010.
“We are fortunate to have Patrick join our coaching staff as our head cross country coach,” said Mark A. Corino, Executive Director of Athletics. “His enthusiasm for his sport combined with his commitment to recruit and develop our student-athletes will make him successful at Caldwell, and we look forward to working with him this fall.”
