Mahwah, NJ: Five Roadrunners honored by the New Jersey Athletic Conference this week for their exceptional performers during the week of November 10th – November 16th. Congratulations!
Margaret Herbert, a freshman with the women's swim team, earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after contributing to a 152-110 victory over Scranton. The Week 2 NJAC Swimmer of the Week selection registered a first-place finish in the 50 freestyle with winning time of 24.38, while adding a second-place finish in the 100 freestyle event with a mark of 53.86. She also was a member of the Roadrunner's first-place 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays, the latter that produced a winning mark of a 3:43.37. The performance by Herbert in the 50 freestyle currently ranks as the fastest NJAC time in the event this year.

Lauren Keller, becomes the second different Roadrunner to earn NJAC Swimmer of the Week honors after contributing to a 152-110 victory over Scranton. Individually, she took home first-place showings in both of the 100 and 200 freestyle events with respective winning times of 53.83 and 1:59.74. She also was a member of the winning 200 medley relay and the 400 medley relay, which posted a winning time of 3:43.37. The performance by Keller in the 100 freestyle currently ranks as the fastest NJAC time in the event this year.
With the men's swim team,
Jose Alferez earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after contributing to a 161-101 victory over Scranton. Individually, he produced first-place showings in both of the 200 backstroke and the 200 individual medley with respective winning times of 2:01.91 and 2:05.85. He also was a member of the Roadrunner's first-place 200 medley relay with a winning mark of 1:38.64. The performance by Alferez in the 200 individual medley currently ranks as the 16th best time in the NJAC this year.
On the volleyball court, rookie
Larysa Iwaskiw earns the final NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after helping advance her team to the Championship Match of the 2014 ECAC Metro/Upstate Tournament. The 2014 NJAC Rookie of the Year posted 10 kills, two assists, and five digs during a 3-0 victory over Rutgers University-Newark in the Second Round to advance her team to the Championship Match. She then recorded a double- double performance of 15 kills and 25 digs during a 3-2 defeat to Ithaca, helping the Roadrunners finish as the runner-up of the 2014 ECAC Metro/Upstate Tournament. Iwaskiw wrapped up her freshman campaign leading the NJAC in both kills (4.72 per set) and service aces (0.59 per set).
And finally, wrapping up the 2014 cross country season, rookie
Jeremy Hernandez earns NJAC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this season after competing at the NCAA DIII Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championship in Rochester, NY. The NJAC Rookie of the Year and First-Team All-Conference Selection finished 50th in a field of 285 competitors with a time of 26:16.1 on the 8k course. The performance by Hernandez helped the Roadrunners take home 14th place in a field of 41 teams.
