Amber Edwards competed in the finals of the triple jump today at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the event hosted by the University of Mount Union at the SPIRE Institute, to determine the best-of-best across all Division III schools.
Edwards, competing in her first NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and her second NCAA Championships overall in the triple jump, earned 6th place taking her second All-American honor. She hit a mark of 12.12 meters to take the honor and the 6th place finish competing against 22 competitors in her event.
She entered the outdoor championships ranked second overall with a mark of 12.46-meters and at the 2017 Indoor Track & Field Championships she placed 4th overall, hitting a mark of 12.05-meters earning her first All-American nod.
